My name is Mrs. Annie Hovis-Williams, and I am the Reading Specialist at Orange Charter School.  I have been with OCS since 2006.  My background in education includes a Bachelor's degree from Penn State University in Elementary Education, certification in Montessori Early Childhood Education, and a Masters degree in Literacy K-12 from UNC Chapel Hill.  I have been teaching in both public and private schools since 1995, and I love my work.  I am a wife, the mom of three children: 12- and 11- year old boys, and a baby girl.  I am also step-mom to my almost-18-year-old stepson and my 13-year-old stepdaughter.  I live in Hillsborough and I love music, hiking, camping, cooking, mountains and the beach.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of literacy or reading instruction, and I will try to help or will find someone who can!
